ನಮ್ಮೂರು ಒಂದು ಚಿಕ್ಕದಾದ ಗ್ರಾಮ, ಕೇವಲ ೪೦ ಮನೆಗಳಿಂದ ಕೂಡಿದ ಈ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಹೆಸರು Singanapalya, ಇದು ತುಮಕೂರಿನಿಂದ ಸುಮಾರು ೪೫ KM ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ಈ ಗ್ರಾಮಕ್ಕೆ ಯೂವುದೇ ಬಸ್ಸುಗಳ ಸಂಪರ್ಕವಿಲ್ಲ, ಪತಾಗನಹಳ್ಳಿ ಎಂಬ ಸ್ತಳಕ್ಕೆ ತಲುಪಿ ಬಸ್ಸನ್ನು ಹತ್ತಬೇಕಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ ಅಥವಾ ನಮ್ಮೂರ ಕೆರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಮಾರು ೧.೫ KM ನಡೆದು ಹೊಸಪೇಟೆ ತಲುಪಿ ಬಸ್ಸನ್ನು ಹತ್ತಬೇಕಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
ಈ ರೀತಿ ಇರುವ ಕುಗ್ರಾಮದ ಪಕ್ಕ ಒಂದು ದೊಡ್ಡದಾದ ಕೆರಿಯಿದೆ, ಈ ಕೆರಯು ಏಳು ಗ್ರಾಮಗಳಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿದ್ದು ಅವುಗಳಲಿ ನಮ್ಮೂರು ಒಂದು, ಈ ಕೆರೆಯ ಪಶಿಮಕ್ಕೆ ನಮ್ಮೂರು ಇದೆ ಹಾಗೇ ಕೋಡಿ( ಕೆರೆ ತುಂಬಿದಾಗ ನೀರು ಹೊರಗೆ ಹೋಗುವ ಜಾಗಾ) ಸಹ ನಮ್ಮೂರ ಕಡೆ ಇದೆ. ಇದರ ಏರಿ ಸುಮಾರು ೧ ಆದರೆ ಇಂತ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಕೆರೆಗೆ ಕೇವಲ ಎರಡು ಹಳ್ಳಗಳ ಸಂಪರ್ಕ ಅದು ಸಣ್ಣ ಸಣ್ಣ ಹಳ್ಳಗಳು, ಈ ಕೆರಯ ಏರಿ ಮೇಲೆ ಗಂಗೆಯ ಪುಟ್ಟದಾದ ಗುಡಿ ಇದೆ.
ಈ ಕೆರೆಯನ್ನು ಸುಮಾರು ೫೧ ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿದ್ದು(೧೯೫೯ ರಲ್ಲಿ) , ಈ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ನಮ್ಮ ತಾತನವರ ಜಮೀನು ಸೇರಿದ್ದು, ಇದರ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಸುಮಾರು ೨ KM ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಬೆಟ್ಟಗುತ್ತಗಳಿಂದ ಕೂಡಿದ ಸರ್ಕಾರೀ ಜಮೀನನ್ನು ನಮಗೆ ಕೊಡಲಾಯಿತು,
ಕೆರೆ ಕಟ್ಟಿದ ವರ್ಷದಿಂದ ಸುಮಾರು ೧೯೯೪ ರ ವರಗೆ ಬಹುಶ: ಪ್ರತಿ ವರ್ಷವೂ ಬರ್ತಿಯಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಕೆರೆಗೆ ಏನು ಕೇಡು ಗಾಲ ಬಂದಿತೋ ಅ ಶಿವನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯಾದ ಗಂಗೆಯೇ ಬಳ್ಳಲು, ಸತತವಾಗಿ ಏಳು ವರ್ಷಗಳು ಕೆರೆ ಬರ್ತಿಯಗಲೇ ಇಲ್ಲ, ಎಸ್ಟೆ ಜೋರಾಗಿ ಮಳೆ ಬಂದರೂ ಕೆರಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ನೀರು ಬರುತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ, ಪ್ರತಿವರ್ಷ ನಮ್ಮೂರ ಪಡ್ಡೆ ಹುಡುಗರೆಲ್ಲ ಸೇರಿ ಇದುತಿದ್ದ ಗಣಪತಿ ಮೂರ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ವಿಸರ್ಜಿಸಲು ಸಹ ನೀರು ಇರುತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ, ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಜನರೆಲ್ಲಾ ಶಿವನಿಗೆ ಎಷ್ಟು ಬೇಡಿದರು ಗಂಗೆಯನ್ನು ಶಿವ ನಮ್ಮೂರ ಕೆರೆಗೆ ಕಲಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ.
ಆ ವರ್ಷ ಎಲ್ಲಾರಿಗೂ ಆಚ್ಚರಿ ಕಾದಿತ್ತು, ೨೦೦೧ ಸಾಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಆಚರಿಸಿದ ನಮ್ಮೂರ ಜಾತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಗ್ರಾಮ ದೇವತೆಗಳ ಹಿರಿಯ ಪೂರೋಹಿತರಿಂದ ಅಚ್ಚ್ರರಿ ಮಾತುಗಳು ಹೊರಗೆ ಬಂದವು " ನಮ್ಮೂರ ಕೆರೆ ಈ ವರ್ಷ ಬರ್ತಿಯಗುತ್ತದೆ" ಈ ನುಡಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದ ನಮಗೆಲ್ಲ ಬರಡಾದ ಬೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಓಯಸಿಸ್ ಚಿಮ್ಮಿದ ಹಾಗಾಯಿತು, ಎಲ್ಲರು ಆಚ್ಚರಿಯಿಂದ ಕೆರೆಗೆ ಬೀಟಿ ಮಾಡತೊಡಗಿದರು, ಆ ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಜೋರಾಗಿ ಮಳೆಯಾದ ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಅನೇಕ ಜನರು ಕೆರೆಗೆ ಬಂದು ವೀಕ್ಷಣೆ ಮಾಡುತಿದ್ದರು.
ಅದೊಂದು ದಿನ ಸುಮಾರು ೪ ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ನಾನೆಂದು ಕಂಡರಿಯದ ಹಾಗೇ ಕೇವಲ ೩೦ ನಿಮಿಷಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಜುಯೆಂದು ಮಳೆ ಬಂದು, ದೊಡ್ಡದಾದ ಕರಿ ಮೋಡಗಳೆಲ್ಲ ಆಕಾಶದಿಂದ ಕಳಚಿ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಬಿದಂತಯಿತು, ಮಳೆ ನಿಂತ ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ನಾನು , ನಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆ. ನನ್ನ ತಮ್ಮ ಹಾಗು ಕೆಲವು ನಮ್ಮೊರಿನ ಯುವಕರು ಮೀನನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು ತರಲು ಕೆರೆಯ ಮುಕ್ಯವಾದ ಹಳ್ಳದ ಬಳಿ ಹೋದೆವು, ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ತಲುಪಿದ ೫ ನಿಮಿಷಗಳ ನಂತರ ನಮಗೆ ಅಚ್ಹರಿ ಕಾದಿತ್ತು, ಎಂದೆಂದೂ ಕಂಡರಿಯ ಹಾಗೇ( ಗಂಗಾ ನದಿ ತರ) ಹಳ್ಳ ಬರುತಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ನಾವೆಲ್ಲ ಕಕ್ಕಾಬಿಕ್ಕಿಯದೆವು, ಮೀನಿನ ಅಸೆ ಕಮರಿ ಹೋಗಿ , ಮನೆಗೆ ಹೇಗೆ ತಲುಪುವದು ಎಂಬುದೇ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಯಾಯಿತು, ನಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಯ ಬುಜದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕುಳಿತೆ, ಎಲ್ಲರು ನಿದಾನವಾಗಿ ಕೈ ಹಿಡಿದುಕೊಂಡು ಮಾತೊಂದು ಹಳ್ಳವನ್ನು ದಾಟಿ ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ಮನೆ ಸೇರಿದೆವು.
ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ೫ ರ ಸಮಯಕ್ಕೆ ಊರಿನ ಪ್ರಮುಕರೆಲ್ಲ ಕೆರೆಯ ಬಳಿ ಜಮಾಯಿಸಿದ್ದರು, ನಾನು ಸಹ ಅವರನ್ನು ೬ ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ಸೇರಿಕೊಂಡೆ, ಕೆರೆಯು ೯೫% ಬರ್ತಿಯಗಿದೆ, ತುಂಬಾ ಕುಶಿಯಿಂದ ಹಿಗ್ಗಿದೆ, ಆದರೆ ಇನ್ನು ೫% ನೀರು ಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಏನೋ ಒಂದುತರ ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಳವಳ.
ಮತ್ತೆ ಒಂದು ವಾರದ ನಂತರ ಜೋರು ಮಳೆ, ತುಂಬಿತು ನೋಡಣ್ಣ ನಮ್ಮ ಕೆರೆ, ಏರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿರುಕು ನೋಡಿದ ಪ್ರಜ್ಞಾವಂತ ಯುವಕರು, ನೀರಾವರಿ ಆದಿಕಾರಿಗಳ ಗಮನ ಸೆಳೆಯಲು ದೊಡ್ಡದಾಗಿ ಲೋಕಲ್ ಪೇಪರ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ "Singanapalya ಕೆರೆಯ ಏರಿ ಬಿರುಕು" ಎಂಬ ವಿಷಯನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿಸಿದರು, ಅಂದೇ ಮೂರ್ನಾಲ್ಕು ಅಡಿಕರಿಗಳ ಗುಂಪು Ambasiddor ಕಾರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮೊರ ಕೆರೆಗೆ ಬಂದಿಳಿಯಿತು, ಎರಡು ಕೊಡಿ ಕಲ್ಲುಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದು ಹಾಗೆ ಚಂಗನೆ ಮಾಯವಾಯಿತು ಆ ಗುಂಪು.
ಆ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮೊರ ಪ್ರೌಡ ಶಾಲೆಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು( ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ಒಬ್ಬ) ಪ್ರತಿದಿನ ಸುಮಾರು ೩ KM ಶಾಲೆಗೆ ನಡೆಯಬೇಕಾಗಿತ್ತು, ಆ ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಕೆರೆ ಇದುದ್ದರಿಂದ ಪ್ರತಿ ದಿನ ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ಹಾಗು ಸಂಜೆ ಕೆರೆಯ ನೀರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಆಟ ಅದುತಿದ್ದೆವು, ಅದೊಂದು ಅದ್ಬುತವಾದ ಕಾಲ.
ಕೆರೆಯು ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ತುಂಬಿದ್ದರಿಂದ, ನಂತರ ಬಂದ ಬೇಸಿಗೆಗೆ ರೈತರು ಬೆಳೆ ಬೆಳಯಲು ತುಬು ಎತ್ತಲಾಯಿತು, ಕೇವಲ ಮೂರು ತಿಂಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆರೆಯು ಬರಿದಗುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದಿತು. ಅಂದಿನಿಂದ ಇಂದಿನವರೆಗೂ ಕೆರೆ ಬರ್ತಿಯಗಲೇ ಇಲ್ಲ , ಶಿವ ಗಂಗೆಯನ್ನು ನಮ್ಮೊರ ಕೆರೆಗೆ ಕಲಿಸಲೇ ಇಲ್ಲ.
ಮೊದಲ ಸಲ ಕನ್ನಡದಲ್ಲಿ ಬ್ಲಾಗ್ ಬರಿತಿದಿನಿ, ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ಏನಾದರು spelling mistake, Grammar mistake ಇದ್ದಾರೆ ಅಡ್ಜಸ್ಟ್ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿ.

Why do i like Malnad areas.........?
I was thinking to create a new post. But didn't get any matter, so i decided to post my desires towards Malnad area.
My Father always was questioning me "Why do you like Malnad area........?" Here i will depict my thoughts.
We all know this song "Malnada henna mai banna......" I am ending this song.
We can call DK(Dakshina Kannada),Kodagu,Shimoga,UK(Uttara Kannada),Hassan,as malnad areas in Karnataka. Why we call these areas as malnad.......? What is the Specialty of Malnad area.......?
1)We can see greenery every where(western ghats).
2)Rain is more: Only for 3 months are spared from rain in these areas).
3)Many rivers are born in these areas: Netravathi, Cauvery,Tunga, Badra, Kumaradara etc.
4)Short(Mini) buses are running with very High speed: This is the first thing everyone notice when he reaches malnad area. The bus has to run in the ghat sections in many curves, so the bus is always short, but bus fare is very high. We need to pay 3 times more fare compared to my area.
5)No water scarcity: Sea is very near, many rivers flow in these area, most of the people depend on water from wells. They can get water by digging the well about 20-30 meter depth.
6)Near to coast: People can spend free time at Beach because beaches are very near.
7)Many famous temples are situated in these area: Dharmastala,Kukke Subramanya,Shrungeri,Sigandur Chowdeshwari temple, Kollura Mukambike, Mahabaladeva Temple Gokarna, Boppanadu Durgaparameshwari etc.
8)Mountains are very near: People can go for trekking very often.
9)Fish is the main food: This is the only food these people can get at very easily and at low cost.
10)Many water falls are located in these areas.
11) I like the culture of malnad people: The culture of the people is some what different than our culture.
12)Many Good institutions are there in these regions.
Above facts make me to like malnad areas.

Written Test with Digilink.
I am here narrating my experience with digilink written test.
I received a mail from digilink on 16/04/2010 regarding written test, which is scheduled on 22/04/2010. after seeing that mail i phoned to Ananth, Abhi and asked them whether they received any mail from digilink, They replied 'not'. I was thinking not to attend that because 22nd is Thurday no holiday for our office.
On 19th April Monday Ananth had phoned me and told me that he and Abhi got a call from Digilink so i decided to attend written test with my friends.
Thursday 22nd April i wake up at 6.30 had bath left room at 7 and reached to Electronic city around 9.15. Before i reach, Ananth and Abhi was there.
We reached to Digilink around 9.45. At the reception they had given Visitor tag only to Abhi because only one tag remains with receptionist. Anath and me went inside with out tag and assembled in seminar hall.
After 5 min Arun kumar(HR) had come to seminar hall and given few forms to enter our Educational details, After that they Explained about their company for 10mins, Then he gave question paper with three white sheets for writing the answer. The test was 1.5 hour duration. He gave at 10.45 and collected at 12.15. The question paper had 4 sections 1st one was Aptitude, 2nd section had some questions from OS and Network, 3A section had some questions on C language and 3B had some programs on C language, They had given coffee in the middle of the test.
After completion of test they asked us "who were going to take lunch here...?" Out of 9 members 8 rose their hands. I was one among them.
There was halfen hour time remaining there to take lunch during this period we had roam around the digilink.
They had called us at 13.15 for lunch. We had lunch at digilink canteen. After lunch i met Arun Kumar and thanked him.
They have arranged CAB for us to reach Silk Board from Digilink.
I am very happy that they had taken lot of care on us. I like those type of companies.
Finally I want say Thanks to Arun Kumar (HR DIGILINK).

Trip to Belagiri Rangana Betta
I had been to BELAGIRI RANGANA BETTA with my friends during study days at SJCE. There was a group that include me, abhi,roopi, gaja, KC, Joby, Chips, Uppi, Ravi and Santhu. we were planned for trip might be KC had suggest that BRB is the best place and it is very near to mysore. Then we all were agree for his decision and planned for trip on sunday.
Last night of Trip i had iron my clothes, Filled bottle with water went to bed very early because we have to leave mysore early in the morning.
I got up at 4AM and gave wake up calls for other friend who wishing to join the trip, There was a big compitation for taking bath because of only one water heater. around 5 AM i successfully taken the bath. After that i had sent message to friends for joining us at my home. around 6AM all the guys accompanied with us except Santhosh and Chips, Roopi and gaja joined us at Private bus stand, their homes near to bus stand. We came to Harsha bar junction and waited for Santhu and chips for about 10 min.
After they joined us we enquired two auto drivers regarding fare to reach mysore private bus stand but they says 80 for each auto we need two autos we were 8 members. but we did not agree for that fare and waited for City bus.
We got the bus at 6.15AM at harsha bar reached to Private bus stand around 7AM. had a slight break fast. we got the bus i have forgotten that bus name, All of us got the seat because that is starting point, Bus left the mysore at 7.30.
Bus reached to T-Narasipura at 8.30 oclock. I got down bought center fresh. Then bus reached to Yelandur around 9.15 and conductor told there is 15 min time for breakfast, But we already had break fast at mysore so we spent 15 min for taking photos there.
Bus left for BRB and passesed through curved up and down roads in the thick forest, We had seen deers, Bears, Peacock etc.
We reached BRB around 11AM first we had seen Theru or Ratha which was in Soligas fashion, it looks different compare to others Ratha's we observed different things on that about 15 min after that we had big group photo section on steps of hill. Later we reached to top of the Hill. It has one big temple of Biligiri Ranganatha swamy. we offered pooja to the GOD. sat in the temple about 10 min. After that we had taken many photos at the hill. There was a Annasantharpana that began at 1PM we had lunch there and rendered 101RS.
After that we went to Swamy Nirmalananda Ashrama. met swamiji and asked many question on religion, god and yoga etc, he gave small debate on religion and offered prasada for us. we had taken one Group photo with him.
We left ashrama at 5.30PM reached to Chamarajanagar at 6.45PM by KSRTC bus, Visited Charamaraja swamy temple at C-nagar , had dinner at hotel and reached to C-nagar railway station around 8.45PM. The train arrived at 9PM and all of us got seat in the train it seems very less passengers. Upendra proposes to play Dumb shards we played till train reaches to Mysore. we got down at Chamarajapuram railway station around 11PM walked about 4KM for home and reached around 12PM. and had a strong sleep in that night.

There was a Annasantharpana that began at 1PM we had lunch there and rendered 101RS.
After that we went to Swamy Nirmalananda Ashrama. met swamiji and asked many question on religion, god and yoga etc, he gave small debate on religion and offered prasada for us. we had taken one Group photo with him.
We left ashrama at 5.30PM reached to Chamarajanagar at 6.45PM by KSRTC bus, Visited Charamaraja swamy temple at C-nagar , had dinner at hotel and reached to C-nagar railway station around 8.45PM. The train arrived at 9PM and all of us got seat in the train it seems very less passengers. Upendra proposes to play Dumb shards we played till train reaches to Mysore. we got down at Chamarajapuram railway station around 11PM walked about 4KM for home and reached around 12PM. and had a strong sleep in that night.

My First interview experience with INTEL
Intel visited to SJCE campus in 2008 for recruitment. Only Computer Science and Information Science branch were allowed. I sent my resume to Akshatha, she was placement secretary for CS-A. She has to forward resumes to intel people. This company shortlisted more than 15 people directly without written test, I was one among them. Morning at 10AM Chinka had informed me that i shotlisted. Immediately left my home and went to college. I discussed some Algorithm and mysql quiries with my friends. Around 2 PM entered into interview room.
me: Gud afternoon Sir.
int: Gud afternoon R u Manjunatha.SV...?
me:yes Can i take this seat.....?
int: please.
me:Thank you.
int: Where r u from......?
me: I am from Singanapalya, Near Goravanahalli Lakshmi temple Tumkur.
int: I know GL temple.
me: have you been there....?
int:yes.
me: how was the temple......?
int: fine
me: did you see teetha dam..........? it is near to temple.
int: yes.
int:Tell me about your self......?
me: i told about my education, hobbies, passions, and interesting about linux.
int: what do u knw about linux.....?
me: i explained some linux commands, fine systems etc.
int: where do u want to see after 5 years...?
me: Project Manager
int:he asked two question about maintaining good relationship with friends...
q1: if ur one of friend scolding U any time what wil u do.....?
me: i talk to him don't sold me what i did wrong for u when he wil be in good mood.
q1 continue: even he continue scolding.....?
me: i wil contact some of my friends who are friends to him plz inform him not scold me
q1 continue: even he continue...?
me: I wil break friendship.
q2: if u r a project manager u should do complete one project with in particular period but man power is very less what wil u do.....?
me: i wil inform to all people do the work at night shift
int: if they not agree.......?
me: I wil tel them that i wil increase ur salary for working in the nite shifts
int: You are not having right permission to increase salary HR wil have that. U should tel them u wil give a good role in the group.
int: Ok Manjunatha We need some people to work on linux platform. I wil discuss about u with some people. thank you.
me: thank you sir.
I went out from placement office.
I din't get short-listed to next round.
